State Comptroller Yosef Shapira is to release a report on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m., which is said to contain particularly damning evidence against one Member of Knesset.

The report raises suspicions that an MK submitted a falsified financial report to the comptroller, a criminal offense that is liable to three years in jail.

Shapira's report focuses on the financial management of candidates during the party primaries of Likud, Labor and Jewish Home ahead of the recent elections. Several ministers and MKs were fined heavily for their actions during the primaries.

While full details are not yet published, the report is said to detail suspicions that one MK used the resources of state companies for their primaries election campaign.

The findings of the report will be transferred to State Attorney Yehuda Weinstein, who will decide whether or not to submit an indictment against the as yet unnamed MK.
