Zohar Ergaz, the 11 month-old baby who made headlines this week after he drowned in a bathtub, died Monday evening at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.

Zohar's family has donated his organs to help other children, the family said.

Police stated that the baby, along with his twin brother, was allegedly left alone for a few minutes while his nanny used a different (adjacent) bathroom. The two children were in a special bathtub safety seat which should prevent them from slipping into the bathwater, she said.

Several minutes later, the nanny suddenly heard noises sounding like gagging from the bathtub and rushed back to find Zohar unconscious.

A Magen David Adom team was called to the scene; medics performed CPR on Zohar and transferred him to Dana Children's Hospital for further treatment. Later, he was transferred to Ichilov.
