Rabbi Dovid Price, a renowned and beloved member of the Flatbush community and one of the first members of Flatbush Hatzalah, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 77.
Rabbi Price, who was the principal of the Prospect Park Yeshiva Girls School in Brooklyn for many years, also served as coordinator of Flatbush Hatzalah.
According to local media reports, Rabbi Price’s health had deteriorated over the past several months following a stroke he had suffered. On Tuesday as an ambulance came to his home an accident occurred which caused Rabbi Price to go into cardiac arrest. Rescue teams rushed him to the hospital where he passed away several hours later.
Rabbi Price is survived by his wife Leah, three daughters and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. His funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon (local time) and his body will be flown to Israel on Thursday, where he will be laid to rest at the Har Hamenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem.
