Planes and crew returned safely to base after the raid, and the IDF issued a statement saying that Israel “would not tolerate attempts tp harm Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers. We will act determination and strength against any source that uses terror tactics to attack Israel.” The statement added that the IDF saw Hamas as responsible for any terror attacks from Gaza.
On Friday, Gaza Arab terrorists attacked again, firing Kassam rockets at an area in the Sha'ar HaNegev regional council. No injuries or damage was reported.
Elsewhere during the Rosh HaShanah-Sabbath period, Arabs threw stones at Israeli vehicles on road 443 near the Dor Gas Station. No injuries or damage were reported.
