TNL Finale: Temple Archaeologist

Archeologist Gabriel Barkai to speak at Tuesday Night Live finale show about the Temple Mount Antiquities Salvage Operation.

Ari Abramovitz and Jeremy Gimpel's Tuesday Night Live in Jerusalem, the popular live Israeli English language television show, will be filming its season finale on May 25, 2010 /13 Sivan, 5770.

World-renowned archaeologist Dr. Gabriel Barkai will be the featured speaker. Dr. Barkai established the Temple Mount Antiquities Salvage Operation, dedicated to recovering archaeological artifacts from the Temple Mount. Among his discoveries are several ancient silver plaques containing the priestly benediction (birkat kohanim).

Also speaking will be Rabbi Ari Berman, who left a prestigious post at the the Manhattan Jewish Center to move to Israel, as well as Israel National Radio's director, Yishai Fleisher.

The show's featured musical guest will be Simply Tsfat, a Breslov hassidic band from the mystical city of Tsfat. The band is known for its traditional Hassidic melodies and original material performed in the klezmer style in Hebrew, Yididsh, and English.

Aired on Time Warner Cable, DIRECTV, and Arutz Sheva, Tuesday Night Live is filmed in front of a live studio audience in the heart of downtown Jerusalem.

Co-host Jeremy Gimpel says: "TNL is an out-of-the-box approach to Torah education and Israel advocacy. The response we've received from Jews and non-Jews around the world is simply mind blowing. This has been our most powerful year yet and we want to invite every lover of Israel to join us in our season finale in person or on screen."

The show will be filmed at Hechal Shlomo, 58 King George Street, right next to the Great Synagogue, from 8:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m. Seating begins at 7:30 p.m. For tickets a NIS 20 donation is requested.
