Shortly after sunrise, the residents began to inspect the town's industrial zone - the closest area to Khan Yunis, from where the shells were fired - and evaluate the damage. It was found that five buildings were struck, including one that sustained serious damage.
Sources in the Katif bloc of communities report that 4,409 shells and rockets have exploded in Jewish areas of Gaza in the past four years - an average of more than 3 every single day.
Yesterday, just south of Gush Katif, army forces discovered yet another arms-smuggling tunnel, and safely blew it up.
