IDF lookouts on Thursday night identified three suspects who tried to cross the fence on the Lebanese border.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said the suspects were identified and monitored immediately. The suspects were arrested and are currently being investigated at the scene.

"The IDF will continue to work to prevent any attempt to cross the border and violate Israeli sovereignty," said the statement.

In recent months, infiltrators have repeatedly tried to enter Israeli territory through the Lebanese border. Several such attempts have been thwarted by the IDF in recent months. Other such attempts have been thwarted by the Lebanese army with assistance from UNIFIL.

Earlier this week, the Knesset plenum accepted the request of MKs Gideon Sa'ar and Ayelet Shaked to raise the topic of the infiltration problem on the Lebanese border in the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee.
