The body of an 18-year-old from a Jerusalem family who has been missing for two weeks was found inside a pit in Ramat Hasharon on Friday. His body showed signs of being shot before being thrown into the pit.

The murder is believed to be linked to a criminal dispute and police have opened an investigation. A gag order has been placed on the case by the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court.

His body was found by a Zaka volunteer in the area. "We were riding nearby and I glanced into the pit and saw a man lying there," the volunteer told Ynet. "I immediately called rescue services."

Evyatar Azarzar, who lived in the Pardes Katz neighborhood of Bnei Brak, was last seen in Ramat Gan two weeks ago and had not been heard from since. The police publicized his details on Wednesday and asked the public to assist in the search for him.

Azarzar's father also publicized a video last week begging the public to help find his son.
