PA resident arrested after chase on foot in central Israel

Police arrest Palestinian Authority man, 24, in area of central Israeli town of Givat Shmuel. Man suspected of possessing forged documents.

During police operations in the area of the central Israeli town of Givat Shmuel, units arrested a Palestinian Authority man with forged documents who was in the area illegally, police said Sunday morning.

The suspect, 24, attempted to flee from police officers, who succeeded in arresting him after a chase on foot.

The man is suspected of possessing a forged work permit and identity card.

He is to appear in court later today.
