Ex-minister Gideon Sa'ar (Likud) expressed support for the Jewish Home party's bill that would expel terrorists' families from their home towns.

He also called for the IDF to renew the targeted killings of senior Hamas terrorists.

"We have to renew the policy of assassinations against senior Hamas figures," said Sa'ar in a Limmud FSU conference in Jerusalem. "In addition, expulsions as a policy are a very effective thing. I think we should renew the use of the weapon of expulsion. This is a tool that was used by many Israeli governments and I think it is the right tool."

Sa'ar spoke harshly of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. "The way in which the ceasefire was reached harmed Israeli deterrence," he stated.

"The fact that we do not define a goal of toppling this regime or another, doesn't mean that they shouldn't understand that if they mess with us, their physical survival or that of their regime will be in danger," said Sa'ar. I think if they understand that this could happen, they will act differently."
