The Sovereignty Movement, founded by Women in Green, continues its activities these days to encourage the participation of youths from all parts of the Land in the movement's informational work. In preparation for a series of activities planned for the coming year for the Sovereignty Youth, there will be a special event in which a fund-raising campaign will be launched this coming Sunday, which is all about raising resources for these activities.

The Sovereignty Movement reports that hundreds youths have joined in the activities focusing on the vision of the application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. Information booths have been set up, a special large conference for the Sovereignty Youth was held in May; and in July a seminar for the movement's regional coordinators is only a fraction of what has been done. The co-chairwomen of the movement, Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, report:

"The encounter between the Sovereignty Movement and the youth gives all of us a tailwind, filled with ideology and vision. The youth takes part in carrying the torch of sovereignty in the long trek on the way to the change of consciousness that is occurring among the People and in Israeli politics."

Katsover and Matar note that it is the youth themselves who are behind the fund-raising event, which will begin on Sunday and continue for 48 hours, and they are the ones who will lead both the messaging of the event and the tasks that will follow. At a preparatory meeting that took place with the Sovereignty Youth coordinators before the fund-raising event, the basic principles leading the vision of sovereignty were raised: "The application of sovereignty fulfills the commandment "you shall inherit the Land". The application of sovereignty will lead to equality of rights and status for the residents of Judea and Samaria with the rest of the citizens of Israel; sovereignty will lead to normalization of these areas and to a completion of the Six Day War victory. Sovereignty is the basis for continuing to build for the future of the People on all areas of the Land, while reinforcing security, strengthening the economy, and creating regional stability".

"Implementing the vision also depends on material things", said Katsover and Matar to the youths at the preparatory meeting. "The deepening of Israeli consciousness that the Land of Israel belongs to the People of Israel also depends on the material ability to promote campaigns and activities. This is why we will hold the fund-raising event to prepare for climbing the steps of the Zionist vision, the steps of sovereignty".

Regarding the goals that the Sovereignty Youth Movement has set for itself in the near future, the two women say: "After the impressive success of the first conference, which drew more than 1,200 youths from all parts of the Land, the youths will lead another large conference, special encounters will take place to become familiar with how the Knesset works, in order to bring about a call for sovereignty from the People to its leaders in the Knesset and the government, we will hold seminars for informational activities appropriate for social networks, leadership workshops and more. All of this is along with continuing the informational activities to instill the idea of sovereignty and ways to implement it with booths, meetings, parlor meetings, and conferences".

Hallel Suissa-Bareli, the head of the Youth department in the Movement, adds: "The Sovereignty Movement is setting out in a mass funding campaign with the goal of increasing the movement's activities. Almost a year ago, hundreds of idealistic youths joined with the desire to promote the idea and to prevent the possibility of more forced evacuations of communities in the future. The Land of Israel belongs to us by right - we love it and want to live in it within the borders promised to our forefathers. Our youth is acting out of complete faith in the justice of our way and the goal. Now we need the support of the public at large so that we can continue our activity for our shared future, with even more energy".

Asaf Jason, one of the Sovereignty Youth coordinators, is also ready for the fundraiser and says: "During the days of the fund-raiser, the Sovereignty Movement gives all of us an unusual opportunity to take a significant part in the battle for sovereignty on the way to repair the injustice that was done 50 years ago. One of the movement's key activities is hasbara booths. Dozens of activists spread all over the Land go out every week to the intersections and the public squares and explain to the passersby the essence of the idea and the way to implement it. People express enthusiasm and excitement at the sight of youth that cares so much about the future of the country and even acts in its behalf".

Yarden Geffen, also a district coordinator of the movement, adds: "The donations are actually the fuel that enables us to increase the activities and strengthen the influence of the movement and the idea behind it. Until now, we have dealt with building the movement, understanding the subject in depth and consolidating an ultimate objective. Now is the time to act outwardly and to continue the Zionist mission. This is why we need you. Take part in the mission, go to our donations page and in this way, you also will become an integral part of the vision and its realization".

The fund-raising event will be launched on Sunday at the Oz veGaon Preserve, in the heart of Gush Etzion. There, a day-long leadership and media seminar will be held for the coordinators and the activists of Sovereignty Youth. The launch of the fund-raising event will start with a lecture by demographer and former ambassador to Washington Yoram Ettinger, and afterward there will be a festive candle-lighting ceremony for the eight night of Hanukah in the presence of Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, MK Michael Oren. Immediately afterward, the 48-hour fund-raising campaign will be launched, led by the youths themselves.
