Rioters throw grenades on Gaza border

IDF responds to hundreds of rioters on Gaza border. Weapons confiscated south of Ramallah, 16 suspects arrested in Judea and Samaria.

Over the weekend, IDF troops, ISA, Border Police and Israeli Police Forces apprehended 16 wanted suspects who are suspected of being involved in terror activity, popular terror and riots towards civilians and security forces in Judea and Samaria. The suspects were transferred to security forces for further questioning.

In addition, during searches carried out by IDF troops in order to find illegal weapons in the village of Anata south of Ramallah, the troops uncovered two pistols. The findings were transferred to security forces.

Furthermore, at night, 450 Gazan rioters gathered at several points along the security fence in the Gaza Strip. A number of rioters hurled grenades and pipe bombs. No injuries to IDF troops were reported.

IDF troops responded with riot dispersal means and operated in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
