A man stabbed in Jerusalem's Hadar Mall in Talpiyot is in moderate condition.

The stabber has been neutralized.

It is not yet clear if the incident was criminal or a terror attack.

A statement from Magen David Adom (MDA) confirmed that the organization had "received a report of a man who was stabbed near the entrance to the Hadar Shopping Mall on General Pierre Koenig St in Jerusalem."

"MDA EMTs and Paramedics are treating a 30-year-old in moderate condition suffering from stab wounds to his upper body. The attacker was neutralized by security forces."

United Hatzalah noted that both attacker and victim were treated at the scene.

An Israel Police spokesman confirmed that the stabber was neutralized by a police officer, and that the victim is being transferred to a hospital.

Initial investigations lead police to believe that the event was criminal in nature, and that the stabber is a known criminal.

The investigation is ongoing.
