Minister of Education and Chairman of the Jewish Home party Naftali Bennett eulogized Rabbi Yeshayahu Haim Hadari, who passed away today, Wednesday, at the age of 84.

Rabbi Hadari served for three decades as head of Yeshivat Hakotel and taught thousands of students. His funeral will take place at 4:30 pm in the Sanhedria cemetery.

"For the past 50 years, the name of Rabbi Yeshayahu Hadari has been identified with the return of the Jewish people to Jerusalem and the Western Wall, and with the revival of the Torah and the nation in the Old City," said Bennett.

"I send my condolences to his wife Naomi, his family and his students. As the head of Yeshivat Hakotel for more than thirty years, Rabbi Hadari has brought up countless students who will follow his unique path connecting the Torah of Israel, the people of Israel and the land of Israel.”

Deputy Defense Minister Rabbi Eli Ben Dahan said that "for 20 years I have been privileged to hear the lessons of Rabbi Hadari, and I have had the special experience of meeting him in the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter.”

"He always had an interesting word of Torah, an important saying and good advice about my public activities. In recent years, he has been able to see the Yeshivat Hakotel he founded flourishing and thriving, and this brought him great pleasure. His many writings and teachings will be a legacy and a living memory for a special figure who walked among us," added the deputy minister.

Chairman of the “Hitorerut” Movement and candidate for mayor of Jerusalem Ofer Berkowitz said: "The city of Jerusalem and its residents are now mourning the passing of a great Torah scholar. In his modesty and wisdom, he turned Yeshivat Hakotel into a center of light and wisdom, which brought up thousands of students who today are at the forefront of excellence in the most significant areas of activity in State of Israel.”
