The one-month-old baby who was in critical condition after nearly drowning on Monday was declared dead by the doctors.

The baby was transferred to Assuta Hospital in critical condition on Monday after nearly drowning at a hotel jacuzzi in Ashdod.

Magen David Adom (MDA) and United Hatzalah paramedics performed CPR, and transferred him to Assuta Hospital in critical condition.

United Hatzalah paramedic Avi Amar said, "When I arrived at the scene, the father was doing CPR, directed by United Hatzalah's hotline."

"I continued the CPR until additional paramedics arrived and an ambulatory intensive care unit arrived. We transferred the infant to the hospital in critical condition, while continuing to perform CPR."

MDA paramedic Naor Sebbag said, "When we entered the room, we saw an unconscious infant, on whom CPR was being performed via telephone instruction. We administered life-saving first aid, including medications and CPR, and we transferred him in critical condition to the hospital while continuing to administer CPR."
