Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel spoke to Arutz Sheva about the delays in the construction of 3,000 new housing units in Judea and Samaria.

"Things are moving, but very little and very slowly," Ariel said. "What Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu needs to do is to speed up the whole issue of building permits and approval. I am sure Housing Minister Yoav Gallant (Kulanu) will do what is necessary in order to advance the construction."

What about the unity between the National Union and Jewish Home parties?

"We're working on it. Unfortunately, the other side does not seem to be showing any good will, but we are still working and we're hopeful. I hope that with our combined strength we will reach some dimension of unity; it will bring us more Knesset seats."

The National Union and Jewish Home parties merged before the 2013 elections.

Was the meeting between Religious Zionist rabbis and the Prime Minister important?

"There's now way rabbis, or anyone else, would refuse an invitation ot the Prime Minister. That's my opinion. The question is what he said, and what they spoke about. I think that our rabbis represented us honorably when discussing the issues of Torah, the Land of Israel, and Shabbat (the Sabbath)."

Netanyahu met on Tuesday with Religious Zionist rabbis, asking support regarding what he termed "attempts to topple him from power," and thanking Rabbi Haim Druckman for his letter criticizing an right-wing anti-corruption demonstration.
