A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip exploded in the Eshkol Regional Council near the Israel-Gaza border Monday evening. No casualties were reported.

The IDF stated that military forces attacked terrorist positions belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in the southern Gaza Strip in response to the rocket strike.

The IDF considers the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for developments in the Gaza Strip.

Terrorists in Gaza fired two rockets at Israel last Friday. One of the rockets struck a kindergarten in Sderot. No casualties were reported as the kindergarten was closed at the time.
