An Arab terrorist attempted to run down Israelis at the entrance of a Jewish town in Samaria Tuesday morning, but was neutralized and killed by IDF soldiers stationed in the area.

The incident took place at the entrance to Neve Tzuf (Halamish), the scene of a grisly terror attack this July in which three Israelis were stabbed to death by an Arab terrorist.

Both the terrorist and a passenger were wounded after IDF soldiers at the entrance to Neve Tzuf opened fire on the vehicle. No other injuries were reported in the incident.

"The soldiers perceived the vehicle as a threat and consequently fired towards it in order to stop it," an army spokesperson said

The driver was evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva in serious condition, while the passenger was evacuated by a Red Crescent ambulance to a local hospital.

The driver, who was later identified as 26-year-old Mohammed Mussa, later succumbed to his wounds, AFP reported.

A similar incident took place last Wednesday, when a terrorist attempted to ram IDF soldiers stationed near the entrance to Neve Tzuf (Halamish).

No casualties were reported in the attack. The driver fled the scene in his vehicle.
