Twelve-year-old Shalev Grobovsky, the Jewish boy who was injured on Saturday when an Arab threw a large rock at his head, did not think a walk to a nearby spring would end with a head injury.

Grobovsky was playing on Saturday afternoon when an Arab hurled rocks at him and two other Jewish children in Avraham's Spring in Hevron. The large rock caused a cut to Grobovsky's head, and he temporarily lost consciousness, falling into the spring. Miraculously, he survived the fall.

"I guess I fainted and I woke up in the water," Grobovsky told Channel 20. "I managed to climb out and I felt the pain. But I felt the pain less because I was in shock."

"My friend yelled, 'They threw a rock at you, come with me into the cave, so if they throw any more stones you won't get hit.' Another friend went to make sure the area was clear."

Regarding the tests performed in the hospital, Grobovsky said "they did a CT and found there was no serious internal damage and no bleeding."

He also noted that his head "stopped bleeding in the ambulance on the way to the hospital."
