Seven people were wounded in a shooting incident in the Negev Bedouin village of Tel Sheva Wednesday evening.

One of the victims was critically wounded, while another was in serious condition. Four victims suffered moderate injuries. The incident involved a brawl and a shooting.

Magen David Adom paramedics treated the wounded and evacuated them to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva.

MDA paramedic Yehoshua Weinstein said, "I was in a local clinic in Tel Sheva and while we and the medical staff were providing treatment to an unconscious man, a number of people walked in with gunshot wounds and bruises. We began to examine the wounded as we were treating the man, and within minutes they were evacuated by ambulances and the MDA's intensive care ambulances to the hospital in moderate condition."

MDA emergency medical services paramedic Eli Norani added: "I was on an administrative trip with the ambulance on road 25 near the northern exit of Be'er Sheva when a private car stopped next to me and the people in it indicated that they needed help. In the back seat was a young man of about 20, who was unconscious and had a gunshot wound on his upper body. We immediately transferred him to the ambulance and evacuated him quickly - while providing life-saving medical treatment - to Soroka hospital. Two other young people who were in the vehicle and suffered from bleeding and bruises to their bodies were also treated and evacuated in a moderate condition to the hospital.

The police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the brawl and the shooting.
