UN ambassadors wish Israel, Jews, a happy New Year

UN ambassadors create video honoring Jewish New Year, wishing Jews around the world a good year.

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Danny Danon, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley and UN ambassadors from around the world wished Israel a Shana Tova (happy New Year) in honor of the upcoming Rosh Hashanah holiday.

Rosh Hashanah begins Wednesday night, and ends Friday night.

in a special video produced by Israel’s Permanent Mission to the UN, Haley said, “Happy New Year to all of our friends, whether it’s in the United States, Israel or around the globe. Shana tova. We wish you all the best, in health, happiness and peace. God bless.”

Danon noted in the video that “we have many friends around the world. These are true allies who support the State of Israel here in the UN. These countries are wishing us a happy New Year. Shana Tova and chag sameach (a happy holiday) to all of Israel!”

Other ambassadors who took part in the video greetings include the representatives of Germany, Hungary, Albania, India, Argentina, Australia, Rwanda, Mexico, the UK, Singapore, Estonia, Uruguay and Togo.
