Suspect arrested for planning stabbing attack in Netanya, police find knife; admits during interrogation intention to carry out attack.

Israeli police officers arrested a 21-year-old resident of the Samaria town of Tulkarm yesterday (Saturday) on suspicion of planning a stabbing attack, reported Kikar Hashabbat.

The suspect aroused policemen's suspicion who then detained him for a search and found a knife on his body.

The suspect was transferred to the security forces for interrogation, and the investigation was then transferred to the Israel Police. In his interrogation, the suspect admitted that he intended to carry out an attack.

The Petah Tikva Magistrates Court has extended his detention by four days.
