A man wearing an Israeli flag and a Trump hat at Saturday's 'Free Speech' rally in Boston was violently accosted by counterprotesters.

He was spat at, cursed, and threatened. "Get the [expletive] out of here" one man yelled, while others chanted "shame."

Demonstrators were protesting a rally held by the Boston Free Speech Coalition, who said that it had invited "libertarians, conservatives, traditionalists, classical liberals, (Donald) Trump supporters or anyone else who enjoys their right to free speech."

The video was taken by Jessica Weiss, a reporter for Univision, who said that she was assaulted simply for talking to the man. "Tensions high. I was just surrounded by activists who screamed at me, called me a traitor for asking a man in a Trump hat why he was here." she tweeted.

United States President Donald Trump praised the police, tweeting that "Looks like many anti-police agitators in Boston. Police are looking tough and smart! Thank you."
