An Apache helicopter belonging to the Israel Air Force made an emergency landing on Sunday night in the South Hevron Hills.

The helicopter's pilot reported vibrations in the back of the helicopter and executed an emergency landing, out of concern for a functional issue with the aircraft.

The pilot was not injured and the helicopter suffered no damage.

Soon after the unexpected landing, Air Force reinforcements arrived in order to secure both pilot and helicopter. Technical workers also arrived at the scene, to ensure the helicopter was flight-ready.

A few hours later, the helicopter and its pilot returned to base.

The Air Force is investigating the incident, especially whether the helicopter took off before it had been properly checked.

It is not clear whether the pilot was in the middle of a military operation or regular training exercises.
