A tractor stolen from the central town of Karmei Yosef was found on Friday morning near the Ramallah-area Arab town of Budrus.

After receiving reports of the missing tractor, IDF and Border Police personnel began searching the area, finally finding the tractor near the security fence.

Initial investigations show that the thieves attempted to breach the security fence while traveling towards Judea and Samaria, but security forces and the fence apparently caused the thieves to abandon their loot.

A criminal investigation team and a sapper arrived on the scene to investigate. The tractor is expected to be returned to its owners later on Friday.

"The IDF contributes much to the battle against agricultural crime, in which Palestinian Arabs often attempt to bring the stolen goods to their own towns," a police spokesman said.

Police are investigating the incident.
