Attorney Yoram Sheftel, who represents Elor Azariya, the IDF soldier convicted of manslaughter for shooting a wounded terrorist, said that the terrorist attack which took place on the Temple Mount last week showed that his client was justified in shooting the terrorist.
Two police officers were murdered in Friday's terrorist attack.
Sheftel referred to the documentation that one of the terrorists got up and continued to attempt to stab police officers after having been shot and presumed neutralized.
Azariya was convicted for shooting a terrorist who had carried out an attack but was presumed to no longer pose a threat.
Sheftel told Arutz Sheva that in his opinion Azariya's appeal should be accepted by the court and his conviction should be overturned.
