A Jewish association in Miami accused Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters of being anti-Semitic as he prepared to give a concert there Thursday.

For years the former bass player has been urging musicians not to perform in Israel so as to boycott the Jewish State until it gives into Palestinian Arab demands.

"Your vile messages of anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism and hatred are not welcome in our community," said a statement from the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.

"Mr. Waters, stop openly calling for support of a cultural boycott of Israel," it added.

Waters, 73, was to perform Thursday evening at the American Airlines Arena as part of a tour to promote a solo album.

Earlier, an Evangelical Christian leader, Laurie Cardoza-Moore, president of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations, on Wednesday called on Floridian Christians, Jews and people of conscience to protest Roger Waters' concert at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, which is scheduled for Thursday night.

"Roger Waters is a flagrant anti-Semite. All Christians, Jews and people of conscience should publicly condemn him...Everybody should do what they can to voice their concern that this anti-Semite is spewing his despicable brand of hatred in the Sunshine State,” said Cardoza-Moore in a statement.

She added, "Contact your local lawmakers, picket the concert, speak-out on social media, but whatever you do, do not remain silent."

Waters has in the past compared Israel to Nazi Germany, saying in an interview, “The situation in Israel/Palestine, with the occupation, the ethnic cleansing and the systematic racist apartheid Israeli regime is unacceptable.”

He previously released a giant balloon pig bearing the Star of David during a concert in Belgium. Concert-goers said the Jewish star was among several symbols representing various corporations and fascist movements.

Waters has frequently blasted other musicians for choosing to perform in Israel and has pressured them to cancel their performances.

Artists he has attacked include Jon Bon Jovi, Alan Parsons, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Radiohead and actress Scarlett Johansson
