On Tuesday night, the Israel Victory Project held the third conference of a series in Bar Ilan University.

Participating in the conference were Brigadier General Gal Hirsch, Dr. Mordechai Keidar, and MK Oded Forer (Yisrael Beytenu).

The conference was organized by Israeli NGO "Im Tirtzu" and backed by the US-based Middle East Forum.

"Gaza is a ticking time bomb," Hirsch warned. "So we need to integrate preventative measurements, and we need to concentrate our security efforts on working against them. There needs to be international financial pressure, and we need to completely demilitarize the Gaza Strip."

"This will be an opportunity for Gaza's residents to change the way they think.

"Operation Defensive Shield in 2002 had a huge effect on Palestinians in Israel. It taught them that Israel knows how to fight and win. Our problem is that we always want to finish the war quickly, and never have to return. We want to reach a peace agreement.

"The thing is, I don't see a solution right now. We're in a continuous war. We won, but we still need to prove it every day.

"We need to fight the tendency to give up land every time someone stabs us. instead of deciding that when there is a knife intifada, we make a big political deal out of it, and a big security deal out of it, we're telling people that we don't need Jerusalem's Arab neighborhoods.

"Breaking the Silence is an embarrassment, it's a disgrace. They're trying to teach us the 'proper' way to speak about the Six Day War. We're a democracy. We need to find the right balance."

Forer said, "Until the other side understands that we will not give up our security, there is no point in peace talks. The other side does not recognize that Israel is a Jewish and sovereign state, so there's no point in negotiation. The basis of negotiations is that we are a Jewish, sovereign, state."

"There will never be peace until we have achieved victory."

"The Palestinians understand that we won on the battlefield, but not in our minds," Dr. Keidar said. "We are not making the Palestinian Authority pay a heavy price for incitement. Israel does not want to win, and they're using that to their advantage."

"We need to recognize Gaza as a country. It's been a country for over ten years. They have everything that a country needs.

"The Palestinian Authority, on the other hand, needs to be broken down emirates by family, and we need to replace the Tunisian criminals who currently serve as its leaders."
