A new project championing Israeli victory and Palestinian defeat was launched yesterday at a special conference held at Hebrew University, featuring MK Amir Ohana, Major General (res.) Dan Biton, Brigadier General (res.) Yossi Kuperwasser, and Maariv journalist Dr. Revital Amiran.

The Israel Victory Project, initiated by the Middle East Forum, a US-based think tank headed by Prof. Daniel Pipes, presents a new approach to solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

According to Middle East Forum, a resolution to the conflict will only occur once the Palestinians are defeated and give up the goal of destroying Israel and recognize Israel as the Jewish state.

Last month, the Israel Victory Caucus was launched in the US Congress by Senators Ron DeSantis and Bill Johnson to advance this idea relating to US policy, and later this month a caucus headed by Yisrael Beitenu MK Oded Forer is set to launch in the Knesset.

Additional MKs have joined the caucus, including Meirav Ben-Ari (Kulanu), Avraham Neguise (Likud), Bezalel Smotrich (Habayit Hayehudi) and Yehuda Glick (Likud), with more expecting to join in the future.

Yesterday’s conference was the first of three conferences to take place in Israeli universities over the course of the upcoming month. The conferences, organized in cooperation with Zionist organization Im Tirtzu, are aimed at reinforcing the belief in victory among the Israeli public and will feature prominent Israeli personalities and military figures.

Next week's conference, taking place in Tel-Aviv University, will feature three IDF generals: Uzi Dayan, Yaakov Amidror and Gershon Hacohen.

“The current approach to achieving a resolution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict has consistently failed because it allows Palestinian rejectionism to be met by a call for further concessions from Israel, thus pushing peace further away because of the entrenchment of a Palestinian denial of the Jewish people’s right to sovereignty,” said Professor Daniel Pipes, President of the Middle East Forum.

“As Ronald Reagan said regarding the US fight against communism, the only way to ‘win is if they lose,’” added Pipes.

Im Tirtzu CEO Matan Peleg opened yesterday’s conference and said that “strengthening the belief of the Israeli public in Zionism and victory is a fundamental element of success."

Peleg added: "There are no doubts that the home front is strong and is capable of dealing with many challenges, but the intellectual aspects of the importance and justification of victory is perhaps even more important.”
