The Ministry of Defense Crossing Authority security officials on Saturday night stopped an Israeli vehicle and searched it after the driver aroused suspicion.
During the inspection, security officials discovered a Beretta pistol and two full magazines, both of which were confiscated.
The driver has been transferred to the Israeli Police for questioning.
The Te'enim Crossing on Route 557 became a civilian crossing only last week, with its responsibilities transferred from the IDF to the MOD Crossing Authority.
With this change, Te'enim Crossing has become the 14th crossing in Judea and Samaria (16th including crossing points to the Gaza Strip) which has been transferred from the IDF to the Ministry of Defense and become a civilian crossing point.
