Lebanese security forces arrested an Iraqi citizen on suspicion of cooperation with Israel and gathering information for Israel in Iraq and Lebanon, the country's Al-Mayadeen News reported.

According to Israel's Channel 2, the captive admitted to the charges during the interrogation, and will stand trial.

The captive was drafted into service by a branch of Israel's security forces, the report continued. The branch in question deals with foreign affairs, eliminations, and training fighters. He was asked to provide security information on the Lebanese army and Lebanese officials. Among other things, he was asked to enlist others to create a terrorist network.

The captive was also accused of gathering information about the Iraqi government's activities.

According to reports, Lebanese security forces are attempting to round up the rest of the Israeli spy network.
