Yedioth Ahronot journalist Raanan Shaked (no connection to Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked) attacked Education Minister Naftali Bennett and called him a 'blithering idiot'.

Shaked's remarks were made in light of Bennett's demand that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu make clear to the Trump Administration that the US embassy must be located in Jerusalem and not Tel Aviv.

“I call on the Prime Minister to make it clear that we expect the American government to move the embassy to Jerusalem and to recognize Jerusalem as the united capital of Israel,” Bennett wrote on his Twitter account Sunday.

“Moving the US embassy to the Israeli capital strengthens Israel,” Bennett continued, “and strengthens the changes for a true peace, since any agreement based on the division of Jerusalem is destined to fail.”

“Just like embassies for countries around the world are located in the American capital, Washington, they should be located in Jerusalem, our capital for some 3,000 years.”

Shaked took issue with Bennett's remarks and tweeted in response: "I suggest that you take more secular buses and designate them to go only to Jerusalem (a disparaging allusion to the hundreds of public transportation and school buses diverted to Miron for the Lag Ba'Omer celebrations last night and today for the religious public, ed.) Blithering idiot."

Shaked deleted his tweet shortly after posting it.
