At a Jewish Home faction meeting Monday, Naftali Bennett declared that the Regulation Law (also known as the Normalization Law, or the Amona Law) was the only solution to the problems in Judea and Samaria.

Bennett said: "Imagine if the Israeli government told you to go and live in Modiin. You arrive together with hundreds of families, equipment and your children. The state builds roads, connects you to water pipes, electricity etc. and builds schools for you. Twenty years later, Peace Now makes an investigation and manages to find an Arab who did not know that part of the land there was allocated to him during the period of Jordanian rule in the 1960's. Because of this you are told to leave your house immediately. The whole neighborhood, the whole city must be destroyed. This is what happened in Ofrah, Gush Etzion and Amona. This same threat hangs over thousands of housing units in Judea and Samaria.

"They are citizens just like those of Modiin, Afula and Tel Aviv. The do army reserve duty, army service, pay taxes and give everything for their country."

Bennett related that he had visited the family of Yehuda Hayisraeli, the most seriously injured soldier in the 2014 Protective Edge campaign, who was "sent by the State of Israel to protect the us and almost lost his life there. Today the country refuses to construct a special room for him in his home which would be the minimum required. We sent them there and we will not abandon them. For them, their families and their future, we passed the Regulation Law yesterday."

Bennett explained the move and brought an analogy. "Karmiel, like many Israeli townd ,was built on private lands expropriated by the state. There are many places like Karmiel, and the picture we get here is distorted. The State of Israel began a historice process of normalizing the communities in Judea and Samaria. Out of 68 years of an independent state, for 50 of those we have controlled Judea and Samaria and our grandchildren will merit to see the 100th anniversary.

"The public is sick of the extreme left-wing which is gradually decreasing at the polling booth, and therefore the left eschews democracy and found a new method: If we cannot succeed in uprooting Judea and Samaria, we will go to the courts. This is not the way to force policies on the rest of Israel. If you wish to persuade- do so in the public arena like we do. For this reason the Regulation Law is the only practical solution to prevent the continuous destructive petitions from left-wing associations, " said Bennett

He added that the Prime Minister and Likud ministers "showed the responsibility required of a Right- wing government and voted to realize the national vision."
