A 1.5 year old toddler fell Monday evening from his fourth floor apartment porch on Sulam Yaakov Street in Jerusalem.

His condition is classified as serious, and he is unconscious.

MDA paramedics and Hatzalah volunteers treated him on site, then rushed him to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital with multi-system injuries.

MDA EMTs Natan and Talia Unger, describe the scene: "We saw in the building courtyard a baby of around 1 year, seven months, semi-conscious after falling from a height of four stories onto a stone floor. We gave him first aid treatment, and after we strapped him to a gurney we transferred him to our nearby mobile ICU unit."

MDA paramedic Eyal Ben Yosef, who arrived in the mobile ICU unit, continues, "We received the boy when he was semi-conscious and suffering from head trauma, while being transferred to the hospital and accompanied by a member of the family, we gave him life-saving treatment which included inducing a coma and putting him on a respirator, while his condition was serious but stable."

Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital confirms that the child is one year, eight months old, and is unconscious and on a respirator. He is seriously injured.
