Facebook closed tens of pages linked to the terrorist organization Hamas, including the personal account of senior Hamas member Ezzat al-Rishq.

Rishq condemned the action, tweeting, “I condemn Facebook’s administration for closing my personal account for the seventh time in a row, and I consider the [decision as displaying] bias in favor the occupation and its dictates and against the struggle of our people for the sake of freedom."

Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, The Head of the Israeli legal group Shurat Hadin, which takes legal action against Arab terrorists, reacted to the news in a press release.

"Facebook's closing of the pages proves that it does indeed have the ability to shut down and monitor incitement and violence on its pages, in contrast to what it has claimed up until now," she said. "I expect that Facebook will manifest its goal of being a social networking site, and not a platform for murderous terror."

Just this week, Shurat Hadin filed a billion-dollar lawsuit against Facebook, for injury and damages incurred by American casualties of Hamas terrorist attacks that were carried out between June 2014 and March 2016.
