A senior Iranian commander declared on Wednesday that Iran considers no country in the world as a threat but the United States, reports the Fars news agency.

"We don’t see any enemy but the Americans, and its instance is the (hostile) official remarks of the U.S. officials and the trend of their actions," the commander, Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, was quoted as having said.

He accused the United States of being the only country which is ready to trample on other countries’ interests in order to meet its own interests.

"The world nations can confidently resist against the U.S. bullying and what is against their interests," Fadavi added, according to Fars.

The comments are the latest by an Iranian official against the United States, which senior Iranians refer to as “the Great Satan”.

Last month, Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said Iran is preparing for all-out war with the U.S. and its allies, and vowed Iran will continue advancing and testing its ballistic missile program.

Also last month, Fadavi boasted that the United States, which possesses the most powerful military in the world, doesn't have the "capability" to attack Iran.

The majority of the anti-American rhetoric has come from Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In March, the Supreme Leader ruled out his country having ties with the United States or “the Zionist regime” – that is, Israel – claiming he had proof that the United States was planning a coup in Iran.

He also said that month that missiles, and not negotiations, will be a part of Iran’s future relations with the outside world.
