15 people rescued from Beit Shemesh fire

Ten children and five adults were rescued after being trapped inside a burning building.

Seven Fire and Rescue teams from Beit Shemesh were alerted Monday morning of a fire that broke out in a five-story building on Nakhal Lakhish Steet.

Firefighters rescued 15 trapped people – ten children and five adults - out of the building using cranes, ladders, and other means.

Magen David Adom teams treated those injured from smoke inhalation and evacuated them to the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center for further treatment.

The Beit Shemesh Fire and Rescue Investigations Division, launched an inquiry to clarify the circumstances of the outbreak of the fire.
