Republican presidential contender Ted Cruz repeated his pledges to stand by Israel and to tear up the Iranian nuclear deal in his speech to supporters after the slew of Super Tuesday primaries. It seemed that these pledges drew some of the loudest cheers of the speech, from the crowd of supporters gathered at the Redneck Country Club in Stafford, Texas.

At the same time, a senior advisor to Cruz called on Jews to support Cruz as the only candidate who can defeat Donald Trump.

"Donald Trump pledges to be neutral between Israel and the Palestinians," Cruz said. "As president, I will not be neutral. America will stand unapologetically with the nation of Israel. Donald Trump says he will keep in place the Iranian nuclear deal to try to renegotiate it. I will rip to shreds this catastrophic Iranian nuclear deal on the very first day in office."

He briefly congratulated his chief rival for the billionaire's many wins Tuesday night, but also mentioned that "we are the only campaign that has beat Donald Trump once, twice, three times."

Including Iowa's caucuses last month, Cruz has now won four states in the Republican primary contest. Supported by white evangelical conservatives, Cruz won in Oklahoma, Texas and Alaska Tuesday.

Cruz called Trump "profane" and "vulgar" in his speech.

'The stakes for our nation and for Israel could not be any higher'

Meanwhile, Cruz and Rubio staffers both called out to Jews to support them.

“If Cruz was to drop out of the race tomorrow, Trump would sweep every remaining state, because most of our voters would go to him," Cruz Senior Advisor Nick Muzin told the Jewish Insider. "If Marco drops out, Cruz defeats Trump because Rubio’s people will come to us. To those who are not yet on our team – including some of my friends who are supporting Marco – now is the time to join the only campaign that has beaten Trump, and that will beat Trump. Any dollar raised for any candidate not named Ted Cruz is a dollar that will be spent electing Donald Trump… The stakes for our nation and for Israel could not be any higher."

Rubio’s Director of Jewish Outreach Martin Sweet told the Jewish Insider: "It’s about delegates. The American people came out against Donald Trump in different iterations across the country, and Ted Cruz’s southern firewall collapsed. Marco remains the only Republican candidate who can win the nomination, expand the party, and win the general election."
