Report: A-Sisi said Netanyahu has 'great powers'
Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi reportedly told members of the Conference of Presidents visiting Cairo that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is "a leader who possesses great powers, which assist him not only to lead his country, but can also advance the region and the entire world."
The amazing quote was provided Sunday by Zvika Klein, a reporter for Makor Rishon, on his Twitter feed.
Asked by a commenter if the quote is an authentic one, Klein replied in the positive.
Al-Sisi met in Cairo Thursday with 40 leaders of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. They reportedly discussed Egyptian-US relations, Israeli-Egyptian relations, and regional threats – especially those posed by terrorist organizations and their supporters – as well as the danger from Iran after the signing of the nuclear agreement.
They also discussed the latest regional developments in Syria and Libya, as well as the Middle East "peace process."
The Jewish leaders described the two-hour meeting as a "very productive discussion" and said they were impressed by al-Sisi's analysis on a wide variety of issues, according to EJP.
The Conference of Presidents’ delegation came to Egypt after a visit to Turkey and before traveling to Israel for the organization’s annual Leadership Conference.
