Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu held an emergency meeting on Wednesday night following the deadly shooting and stabbing attack at Jerusalem's Damascus Gate earlier in the day.

The IDF has imposed a closure on Kabatiya in northern Samaria - the Palestinian town from which the three Arab terrorists arrived.

Several other military options are also being considered by Netanyahu, IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot, Police Commissioner Roni Alshich and Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen.

Border Police officer Hadar Cohen, 19, of Or Yehuda was killed in the attack Wednesday, making her the 31st victim in the ongoing terror wave. She is survived by her parents, a brother and a sister.

The attack occurred when a team of officers noticed two young people at the Damascus Gate who aroused suspicions. The officers approached and demanded to see identification, when the terrorists began shooting and stabbing.

A third terrorist approached and fired a few shots at Israeli forces, but was prevented from causing more damage by a faulty gun brake.

The commander of the Border Police team, along with other security forces at the scene, opened fire and eliminated the terrorists.

An initial investigation revealed the three were carrying several pipe bombs, likely with the intention of carrying out a much larger attack.

Cohen's commander who was at the scene recounted, "I went up to them and asked for identification. One got up, opened his coat, took out the Carl Gustav rifle and knocked me in the head."

"I took a step back and saw that he was aiming the gun at me and about to pull the trigger," the officer continued. "I hit his gun, moved two steps, cocked my weapon and fired a bullet. Then I turned around and saw an additional terrorist stabbing the female officer with a Japanese knife. I took the weapon and shot a bullet."
