The Palestinian Authority (PA) has maintained its libelous claims that Israel poisoned arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat in 2004, and gave them renewed expression on a recent children's TV show.

In the "Children's Talk" show on official PA TV late last week, a young girl said "the Jews killed Arafat," and was given immediate backing by the TV host as revealed by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) on Friday.

"What do you know about Yasser Arafat? You were not born yet when he died as a martyr. Did your father tell you a lot about him?," asked the PA TV host, to which the girl said, "yes," before detailing what she was taught.

"Yasser Arafat wanted to fight in order to free Palestine, and suddenly the Jews killed him and he died as a martyr," said the girl on TV, mouthing conspiracy theories that have been proven false by a French investigation.

But the TV host said, "my dear, may Allah have mercy on his soul and on the souls of all our Martyrs. It is happening at the moment to all of our martyrs. But he (Arafat) was the leader and the symbol. ...Yasser Arafat is a legend, a special man. His wish was to die as a martyr, and he did indeed die as a martyr. However, when the occupation understood that he would not give up on his great dream, which was the liberation of Palestine, unfortunately they killed him."

Arafat, who was born in Egypt, founded the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) terrorist group and led Fatah, and is held as responsible for numerous attacks over the decades that murdered countless Israelis.

A bombshell was dropped back in 2007 by Dr. Ashraf al-Kurdi, Arafat's doctor of 18 years, who admitted to the Jordanian Amman News Agency that Arafat had AIDS. However, he outlandishly claimed that the HIV virus was injected into Arafat before his death, and that he actually died of poisoning.

A French inquiry into his death determined last September that Abbas was not poisoned, and Israel was not at all involved in his death. One French prosecutor explained that the traces of polonium and lead in Arafat's grave were "of an environmental nature."

But that hasn't stopped the PA from libeling Israel, with the head of the Palestinian Arab team looking into Arafat's death last November again accusing Israel of "assassinating" the arch-terrorist.

Recently the libel was aired again by Fatah Central Committee member Amal Hamad, who appeared on PA TV on January 1 and claimed former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon "besieged" and "acted against" Arafat, and then "poisoned him."

Hamad also hinted that Israel might be planning to take action against PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, because "the same manner and style of speech is being used today against President Mahmoud Abbas."
