Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has been documented spewing double-talk to European audiences, claiming he "honors" Jews even as his organization delegitimizes and attacks them on a regular basis.
In a speech at the Greek Parliament late last month, Abbas claimed the Palestinian Arabs respect Jews, as revealed by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) on Thursday.
"We are neighbors and we will be friends in the future...we are absolutely not against the Jewish religion...The Jewish religion is an honorable religion and we all honor it, appreciate it and recognize its sanctity," Abbas told his European listeners.
However, the same Abbas has his official PA TV tell Palestinian audiences on a daily basis that Jews are evil, and their religion is "falsified," reports PMW.
Abbas show much less "honor" for Judaism when he called for violence on PA TV last September, in a move widely seen as sparking the current terror wave as he called to block the "filthy feet" of Jews from the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism.
In a weekly broadcast last November by PA TV host Imad Hamato, a Muslim preacher and Koranic Studies professor at the University of Palestine in Gaza, the host said the anti-Semitic forgery "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" is an authentic Jewish plan for world domination, and that Israel is carrying out the plan now.
Hamato based himself on the Koran, saying Jews "are the slayers of the prophets and the slayers of the innocent," and "there is a falsified Biblical base to their path of blood."
He then taught Palestinian listeners his conspiracy theory, saying Israel is following "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion."

Last February, Hamato said on PA TV that "humanity will never live in comfort as long as the Jews are causing devastating corruption throughout the land," and "if a fish in the sea fights with another fish, I am sure the Jews are behind it."
While Abbas may have claimed to respect Judaism, his PA has constantly given the opposite message to its own people as exposed by PMW, which has shown among other things the recurring recital by children on PA TV of poems describing Jews as "most evil among creations," or "Satan with a tail."
