A crop duster on Wednesday morning hit a high-voltage power line and crashed in an open field adjacent to kibbutz Dovrat near Afula in the north.

Police forces who were called up to the scene searched the agricultural fields before locating the crashed plane.

Magen David Adom (MDA) medics rushed to the scene to provide treatment to the pilot aged in his 50s, who was moderately wounded in the crash.

The pilot was evacuated to Haemek Hospital in nearby Afula to receive treatment for his wounds.

MDA Gilboa district director Yossi Pahima, who arrived at the cash site, said, "we reached the scene with a 4x4, in the open field we saw a light plane that crashed."

"Outside the plane was sitting a man aged around 50 who was fully conscious, he suffered various wounds on his body," said Pahima.

"Our crews who arrived at the site gave him medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital with his status classified as moderate and stable."
