Police say that they arrested the brother of Nashat Melhem, the terrorist who carried out yesterday's attack in Tel Aviv.

The suspect, Jodat Melhem, is believed to have assisted in the attack. He was arrested last night on charges of intentionally causing death and of being an accessory to a crime. A court has extended his preliminary sentence by five days.

Security officials say that 28-year-old Nashat Melhem, who is still at large, is likely to take hostages. He is believed to still be armed and willing to open fire in order to escape capture.

Melhem's father informed police that his son was the perpetrator of a shooting attack at a pub in Tel Aviv's Dizengoff Street yesterday afternoon. The family holds Israeli citizenship, and the father works in security.
