Relatives of the victims from the bus 37 bombing in Haifa have written a letter to Prime Minister and current Interior Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, demanding that he revoke Munir Rajbi's citizenship.
Rajbi served as an assistant to the terror group that carried out the attack.
"This thug is responsible for the murder of 17 Israelis, including 9 schoolchildren aged 13 to 18, who were on their way from school to their homes after a day of learning," write the families. They added that revoking Rajbi's citizenship would add to the deterrence and protection of Israel citizens "against anyone who lives among us and wishes us ill."
The families have previously appealed to the Interior Ministers, but their requests were never answered. "Our appeal today is written with the blood of our hearts and comes from a place a deep pain. Its one aim is to cancel the citizenship/residency of the terror assistance Munir Rajbi, who has lived in Haifa for several years.
"Honorable Prime Minister and Interior Minister, only you have the power to prevent this. The possibility of revoking his citizenship and residency, and to ensure that we will not run into him and that he will not hurt what remains of our lives is in your hands. We will be consoled in the fact that we would know he lives far away and has no ability to reach us. We are asking again because the date for discussing the release of this collaborator is January 12, 2016, only two weeks from today."
They concluded: "Only you have the authority to cancel his citizenship status and thus fight terror. The residency of thugs who murdered Israelis is denied. There is no doubt that we must deny the residency of any guilty of murdering seventeen Israelis. This step would slightly ease our lives and would contribute to deterrence and the defense of the state's residents against fifth columnists, those who live among us and wish us ill."
