Shortly after the Color Red siren for incoming missiles went off in the Gaza Belt communities Thursday, one rocket was said according to reports to have struck Israeli turf in the Sha'ar Hanegev area. It exploded but caused no casualties.

Later the IDF reported that the rocket apparently fell in Gaza just over the security barrier, falling short of its target.

According to some sources, the siren went off near the community of Mefalsim.

On Sunday night, sirens sounded in communities surrounding Gaza and in Sderot, including Nir Am, near Sapir Academic College, Ivim, and the industrial area of the Sha'ar Hanegev region.

Locals reported hearing several blasts in the region.

The IAF struck two Hamas targets in a nighttime raid in retaliation.
