The workers committee of the Suberbus bus company is conducting a strike Thursday, which will halt all normal operating lines throughout the entire day – from 4 a.m to midnight.

This is the third strike that workers are partaking in as they protest the management's refusal to recognize the workers' committee.

"The management does not shy away excuses to try to break the workers' organizations, as it did in 2010," says Aharon, one of the leaders of the strike committee. ''We appeal now to the company owners - it’s a shame, you should worry about your employees. All we want is the promotion of labor relations in society through dialogue."

According to the workers, as part of management’s attempt to stop the strike, some drivers will be denied shifts in their work schedule, and some drivers will even receive pay cuts from 32 NIS (8.25 USD) to 30 NIS (7.75 USD).

"This is a cynical attempt to harm the employees whose salary is already one of the lowest in the public transportation sphere and to illegally retaliate to the striking workers. No employee may be punished for aspiring chances, "said Assaf Bondi, coordinator of public transport force workers.

Superbus has 650 employees in two clusters: the Emekim cluster, and Beit Shemesh and Jerusalem cluster.
