Two people have been wounded in a stabbing attack in the Beit Hadassah area of Hevron.

Magen David Adom paramedics at the scene say one of the victims - a man in his twenties - is in moderate condition, with multiple stab wounds to his upper body, while the other was lightly injured in the leg.

IDF soldiers stationed nearby opened fire on the terrorist immediately, killing him.

MDA paramedic Zaki Yahav was among the first at the scene.

"When we reached the scene we saw two young men in their twenties lying next to (the) Beit Hadassah (building). (They were) fully conscious and suffering from stab wounds; one of them suffered a number of stab wounds to his upper body, and the second from a stab wound to his leg.

"We began providing medical treatment and transferred them immediately into the ambulance. We continued treated them as we transferred them to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital. One of them was in moderate condition and the other in light condition."

Meanwhile, the victim of a previous stabbing attack in Hevron on Monday remains in critical condition.

The man was attacked just outside the Cave of Machpelah, not far from the site of today's attack. Doctors say he is still in life-threatening condition.
