A soldier has been wounded in a stabbing attack at Gush Etzion Junction, south of Jerusalem.
The 19-year-old soldier was evacuated to Jerusalem's Shaare Tzedek hospital in moderate condition, with stab wounds to his upper body.
Two terrorists were involved in the attack - both were shot dead by security forces.
Gush Etzion Mayor Davidi Perl arrived at the scene shortly afterwards and congratulated security forces for their quick reactions, which likely prevented further casualties.
In a statement, the IDF said that "soldiers from the Shimshon Brigade dealing with security at the Junction noticed two suspects. When (soldiers) approached to ask them (to identify themselves), they stabbed one of the soldiers.
"Forces responded with fire to neutralize the threat."

It is the first successful stabbing attack by Arab terrorists Tuesday, although several others were thwarted in time by alert police.
In one incident, two Arab men armed with an ax and a knife were nabbed by police in Jerusalem just moments before carrying out an attack.
Despite that, earlier Tuesday the ongoing wave of Arab terrorism claimed yet another life, as a critically-wounded victim in a previous attack succumbed to his injuries.
76-year-old American-Israeli Richard Lakin was shot in the head and stabbed in the chest and back during the deadly attack aboard a bus in Jerusalem's Armon Hanatziv neighborhood earlier this month.
