Despite its ongoing incitement to terrorism, Israel is continuing to make “gestures” to the Palestinian Authority (PA) and its chairman, Mahmoud Abbas.

Abbas’s brother in law on Wednesday underwent major surgery at the private hospital Assuta in Tel Aviv. He is now hospitalized in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

This would not be the first gesture by Israel towards the family of the PA chairman. In June of 2014, it was reported that Abbas’s wife underwent surgery at the same hospital.

The reports at the time said that Abbas's wife was being held under heavy security in a private room, with no roommates, and her identity was kept a secret until she returned to the PA.

Israel has made gestures not only to the PA, but also to Hamas, which openly calls for Israel’s destruction.

A year ago, the daughter of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh received emergency medical treatment in an Israeli hospital in Tel Aviv.

Several of Haniyeh's relatives have received medical treatment in Israel, including his mother in-law and granddaughter, despite the fact that he has pledged Israel's utter destruction.
